Dynamom- eter tables Magtrol Inc., Buffalo, N.Y. |
The company is now offering eight standard
dynamometer tables. Each has been specifically designed to accommodate one
of Magtrol's hysteresis/engine or eddy-current/powder brake dynamometers,
and can be customized to meet the needs of most testing applications. Besides
strength, these corrosion-resistant tables offer two key benefits, por- tability and versatility, according to the manufacturer. Many dyna- mometers are very difficult to move once fixed to a stationary workbench. Magtrol dynamometer tables eliminate this shortcoming, according to the company. These tables are useful for moving dynamometers to alternate testing stations because the stand is manufactured out of lightweight aluminum with casters for smooth mobility. The company can modify its basic table design to accommodate as many as three dynamometers. |

Production vises Jergens Inc., Cleveland, Ohio |
BallLock base production vises are
intended to provide quick-change fixturing solutions in two ways: Jaw changeovers
take less than a minute and the BallLock mounting system built in the vise's
base permits one-minute changeover of vises. The vise's base also has an
interlocking jigsaw pattern, which permits multiple vises to nest closely
together, maximizing workpiece density on a fixture. By combining these
features, the Jergens production vise provides a quick change replacement
to conventional dedicated fixtures as well as to old-style vises. All jaws,
which come in 4-in. and 6-in. widths, are fully machinable and reversible,
providing more flexibility for each jaw set. |
