| Vacuum
and pilot actuators Clippard Instrument Laboratory Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio |
Vacuum and pilot actuators have been added to this company's Minimatic line. These pressure and vacuum actuators installed in a directional control valve allow for the valve to pilot or remotely operate using a pressure or vacuum signal. They may be used in combination with any push-operated two-, three-, or four-way valve with a 15/32-32 mounting thread. They may also be installed on the company's ES-1 electrical switch. A pressure or vacuum signal may then be used to actuate the valve or electric switch. Four different models are available. |

| Voice-coil
actuators Densitron Corp., Santa Fe Springs, Calif. |
The VM Series of voice-coil actuators develops constant force in proportion to excitation current over relatively long stroke lengths. The actuators can provide up to 60 N peak force over a 10 mm stroke. By providing a force that is proportional to the operating current, the actuators are well suited for applications needing controlled movement combined with low noise or low impact. The actuators are inherently bidirectional devices and can move in either direction. If force is required in one direction only, the actuator can be biased in that direction with a spring to allow twice as much peak usable force to be produced. Four actuators are now available. On the low end, the VM2618-070 offers 10 N force over a 4 mm stroke length. On the high end, the VM5036-1800 offers up to 60 N force over a 10 mm stroke length. |

| Voltage
attenuator system Dataforth Corp., Tucson, Ariz. |
The
new signal conditioning modular voltage attenuator system, or SCMVAS, is
an analog signal conditioning system designed to safely monitor and accurately
measure voltage potentials up to 1,200 V peak-to-peak. Such high voltages
are typically found in industrial applications such as induction heaters
or electric motor drive controllers. The system consists of either an 8-
or 16-channel back panel, two models of SCM5B signal conditioning modules,
and various models of SCMVAS-Mxxx attenuator modules. For each channel of
high-voltage analog input, an attenuator module reduces the input signal
to a low-level voltage, which is then connected to a high input impedance
signal conditioning module.
