Portable Steam Tables Capability: PocketSteam makes it possible to carry a complete set of steam tables on any of the battery-powered handheld computers that run the Microsoft Windows CE 2.0 operating system. PocketSteam provides both thermodynamic and transport properties, including Prandtl number and critical velocity. It also includes a built-in turbine expansion calculation. The calculator can use a wide range of English and metric units for each property. The user selects the display format and display accuracy for each property.

The user can name any number of points and store all of their properties for later use. The stored points can be copied to the Windows clipboard and shared with other applications, such as Microsoft's Pocket Excel. They also can be stored in files that can be moved to a desktop computer and used by the companion desktop program. On-line help describes all features of the program.
