The new om-34 recorder interface system converts a standard black-and-white or color Epson-compatible printer into a strip chart recorder. The system consists of the om-34 interface unit and one or two four-channel input modules, for a total of up to eight channels of recording. Input modules are available for trending thermocouple, rtd, voltage, process current, and strain gauge input signals on the existing printer. The system produces full-sized graphs on low-cost, standard fan-fold paper. |

Platinum RTD sensors, closely coupled to a film metal-contact plate, have been encapsulated in silicone rubber for insulation, for conformance to surfaces, and to ensure an accurate surface temperature measurement. Operating temperature range is 50° to 232°C continuous as mounted. Interchangeability is ±0.3°C or 0.6 percent of temperature, whichever is greater, IEC 751 Class B. The sensors will have less than 0.05°C drift per five years at rated service temperature with proper mounting. |

The ADS 50/5 servo-amplifier provides speed or torque control for dc brush motors up to 250 watts. Four-quadrant servo-amplifier has controlled speed in CW and CCW directions accelerating or braking, and the PWM frequency of 50 kHz makes it compatible with most low-inductance motors. Tachometer, encoder, or IxR-compensated speed or torque control modes are selectable via dip switches; speed or torque is determined via an external ±10-V signal or a potentiometer. Supply voltage is 12 to 50 V dc, and maximum current is 5 A continuous, or 10 A intermittent. Outputs include ±10 V signals proportional to speed and current as well as an open collector "ready" signal. |

| Bushings and bearings Graphite Metallizing Corp., Yonkers, N.Y. | Graphalloy graphite/metal-alloy self-lubricating bushings and bearings have been designed to work in hostile environments from cryogenic to 750°F and in solvents and acids, in pumps, mixers, ovens, furnaces, dryers, and dampers. The materials do not melt or cold-flow. They provide a low coefficient of friction and perform where grease, oil, or plastics fail. Graphalloy is corrosion-resistant in most liquids, including sulfuric acid and caustics, and does not gall when run with close tolerances against rotating metal elements. |

Optional features are a removable door for easy access and a hopper for feeding. The Quadronorm Plus proximity switch includes a setup LED. Extended sensing ranges reduce the chance of damage to the switch. Visibility on the output LED is 360 degrees. The switch is a two-wire dc device and, depending on how it is wired, it provides any one of four output functions: positive switching, normally open; positive switching, normally closed; negative switching, normally open; and negative switching, normally closed. The switch is available in threaded tubular metal body styles in 12-, 18-, and 30-mm diameters. Sensing ranges for flush-mountable units are 4, 5, and 15 mm and for non-flush-mountable models are 7, 12, and 22 mm. |

Two laser beams are used to provide auto calibration and simple aiming before completing the final alignment. Shafts and couplings to be aligned can be separated by up to 66 ft. Up to 25 sets of readings are stored and can be sent to a remote computer or directly printed on-site using an optional battery-powered printer. The sa-10 and sa-20 models are full-featured systems with maximum measuring distances of 33 ft and 66 ft, respectively. Vacuum preloaded air bearings hold themselves down while gliding at a predetermined height above the guide surface. They allow lightly loaded stages to operate with high stiffness with damping.
