TENURE-TRACK ENGINEERING FACULTY POSITION IN ENERGY
The Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth is developing a distinctive
research and education program addressing technology responsive to societal
energy challenges, and seeks to hire a faculty member who can contribute
to this objective. The successful candidate will have a doctorate in
engineering or closely related field, will show promise of leading an
externally-funded laboratory research program targeting transformational
advances in energy conversion and/or utilization, and will be a gifted

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

PURDUE UNIVERSITY FACULTY OPENINGS: PROFESSOR (ASSISTANT,

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the College of
Engineering at Purdue University are seeking applications to fill two
positions in the general area of physical sciences and engineering applied
to pharmaceutical systems. The first of these is for the Dane O. Kildsig
Chair, endowed in honor of the late Dane O. Kildsig, who was an outstanding
Physical and Industrial Pharmacist and former Head of the Department
of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy. The selected individual will be
expected to develop and sustain an extramurally funded research program,
as well as contribute to professional and graduate education. Participation
in the Dane O. Kildsig Center for Pharmaceutical Processing Research
and the newly funded NSF Engineering Research Center for Structured
Organic Particulate Systems will be expected. The Kildsig Chair will
also assist in the further development of the new interdisciplinary
Pharmaceutical Technology and Education Center (http://www.purdue.edu/dp/ptec)
at Purdue University and its associated Pharmaceutical Engineering educational
program. As appropriate, the Kildsig professor will hold a 75% appointment
in Industrial and Physical Pharmacy and a 25% appointment in Engineering.
The second position is for a full-time tenure-track Assistant, Associate,
or Full Professor, where specific rank will be determined as appropriate
for the record of accomplishment of the candidate. This position likewise
is intended to support the work of the new multi-university NSF ERC
on Structured Organic Particulate Systems and the interdisciplinary
Pharmaceutical Technology and Education Center. The academic home of
the candidate will be within one or more of the engineering schools
with a potential appointment in the Department of Industrial and Physical
Pharmacy. Candidates for both the chair and the regular appointment
should have expertise in fundamental and applied research related to
the development, design, and manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
Representative areas of interest include: Physical chemistry for design
of pharmaceutical systems for performance and manufacture; Material
sciences for pharmaceutical solids; Process sensing, imaging and control
technologies; Particle technology; Fundamentals of operations associated
with drug substance and drug product manufacture; Pharmaceutical engineering;

ASSOCIATE LABORATORY DIRECTORENERGY,

Brookhaven National Laboratory seeks an Associate Laboratory Director
(ALD) to provide leadership and oversight for three departments: Energy
