Short- stroke thruster
Parker Hannifin Corp., Wadsworth, Ohio

The Actuator Division's P5T2 short-stroke thruster features heavy-duty performance in a smaller footprint than conventional thrusters that use external cylinders, according to the company. The design addresses requirements in the packaging, conveyor and assembly markets, where available space is limited and loads are typically substantial. The P5T2 Series is useful for handling frequent stops on conveyor equipment, tamping and pressing on packaging machinery, as well as the unloading and loading, and clamping processes on assembly machinery. This thruster comes in 12, 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80, and 100 mm bore sizes with strokes up to 200 mm. There is standard through-hole mounting on all sizes and available rear mounting on all sizes. Construction of the P5T2 thruster features an aluminum body and end caps; steel tool plate, support rods, and rod bolts; and a stainless steel piston rod.

Environ- ment controller
Divelbiss Corp., Fredericktown, Ohio
The HEC-1000 harsh environment controller is based on PLC-on-a-chip technology. This controller allows for programmable intelligence under less than ideal conditions. It has a sealed, watertight enclosure with pluggable connectors. The standard enclosure is submersible to three feet and is screw- and subplate mountable. The HEC-1000 is programmed using Divelbiss EZ Ladder software, which supports ladder diagram and function block programming. The HEC-1000 features 12 to 26.4 V dc input power. I/O includes 10-32 V dc inputs, two 40 kHz high-speed counters, and two 10-bit resolution 0-20 mA dc analog inputs. Typical industrial use includes control for engine-driven pumps and compressors, mobile asset management and tracking, intelligent mining or oil field equipment, conveyor systems, and marine application.

Oil coolers
Unifin International, London, Ontario
Flexible ForZair transformer oil coolers are said to perform well in the most demanding applications in the power generation and power transmission industries. These coolers are designed for new transformers and for replacing existing installations that are out of life or overheating, requiring additional heat removal for higher capacities. ForZair coolers feature Unifin's Mono-Aluminum extruded fin-tubes and plate fin technology, both of which provide optimal heat transfer efficiency and durability. The coolers come in forced oil to forced air, natural convection oil to water and forced oil to water models, in both 50 and 60 Hz versions. ForZair coolers are engineered to meet the capacity, performance, and space requirements of each specific application. Unifin uses an advanced oil flushing system, which achieves high ISO standards for cleanliness in the transformer industry.
