Incremental Modular Encoder—ERM
280 details the new diameters that are available on this encoder, as well
as increased speed availability on the largest size. The ERM 280 encoder
is designed without an integral bearing and consists of a scanning head
and scale drum. Because it uses the contamination-resistant scanning principle,
it is suited for incorporation into many machine design elements, such as
headstocks on lathes. The ERM 280 has a large hollow shaft diameter and
operates within high shaft speed requirements of up to 40,000 rpm.
