Mini pressure sensors |
Series 105 is a new family of ICP miniature
dynamic pressure sensors, suitable for monitoring dynamic combustion pressure
in diesel and natural gas-powered engines, and other reciprocating equipment.
Proper monitoring allows for extended maintenance intervals, improved fuel
efficiency, and lower NOx emissions. The sensors feature piezoelectric sensing
elements with very fast response times, and are best suited for continuous
monitoring or periodic walk-around cylinder balancing. Additionally, Series
105 features a 4.2 mm diaphragm and M5 thread, easily mounted internal to
the engine. With no moving parts and solid-state construction, their durability
is high. |

Washers Blue Blade Steel, Kenilworth, N.J. |
Consistency and uniformity in washers
for critical assembly applications may be achieved by stamping, drawing,
or machining them from tempered steel material, according to Blue Blade
Steel. The company says that highly controlled hardening and tempering enable
it to selectively modify the internal steel structure and hardness to address
the specific washer application. The tempered material is a workable substrate
that provides greater flexibility, flatness, and uniformity of parts, according
to the manufacturer. These washers are said to perform well where components
are subject to expansion. When the washer is used as a fastener to secure
lock nut assemblies, the tempered steel washer exhibits a pliant flexible
characteristic that reduces bolt loosening and eliminates vibration wobbling. |

High voltage UltraVolt Inc., Ronkonkoma, N.Y. |
The company, which manufactures standard-product
dc-to-dc high-voltage power supplies, is refining three product lines: the
A Series, 10A-25A Series, and 30A-40A Series, by offering the 25 parts per
million option. All high-voltage power supply modules featuring the 25 ppm
option will provide half the temperature coefficient for users who have
critical applications in variable temperature environments. The high-voltage
modules that offer this option supply output voltages of 62 through 40,000
V and maintain a 25 ppm temperature coefficient on both the output voltage
and output voltage monitor. While all product lines offering this option
will continue to provide a 5 V compensated reference, that reference will
be refined to a 10 ppm temperature coefficient. As a result of UltraVolt's
product standardization, units featuring the 25 ppm option conform to the
standard package size, making them useful for plug-in replacement in current
designs, as well as for use in new designs. |
